'Everything Is Coming up Roses' by World News

 A single releases 24 September 2025

Another featured song from this group along with The Tinman and Don't Want to Know.

I don't find the Spotify release audio quality that great (that tends to happen), so even though the embed above is from that platform, this link to the YouTube 'official' video is here as well.

And these guys are from London, the Northern Hemisphere for change.

'Locked Up' by The Colliflowers

From their EP "Mirage Hotel" released 25 September 2025.

Featured this group from New South Wales back on 20 June this, year when "Waterhead" was first released, a song that is now included in this EP.

Not many live videos of this band out there, although I did watch all of their live performance in Lismore (NSW) called 'The Colliflowers at Music From The Heart, Lismore 2023', over on YouTube.

Interesting.

'Saviours Are a Dangerous Thing' by The Chameleons.

From their album "Artic Moon", released 12 September 2025

This is their first album full album in 24 years, from this English post-punk band formed in Middleton, Greater Manchester, in 1981.

Needless to say, I missed out on their early work back the '80's, probably because I was living in Europe - also no Spotify, no Internet and all that stuff we now take for granted.

So, yes, had never heard of them before.

I choose this song, although also like 'Where Are You?'.

Curious.

'Champagne' by Geowulf

A single released 12 September 2025.

As even the artist says, this a romantic song, so, hey, why not?

"Geowulf is an Australian dream pop project originally formed by Star Kendrick and Toma Banjanin in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, in 2016. The band began as a duo, but as of late 2022, Geowulf is solely Star Kendrick’s project, following Banjanin’s departure." via Wikipedia.

First came across them in 2018 with the release the "Great Big Blue" album, of which 'Saltwater' and 'Greatest Fool' were the songs I liked at the time.

Interesting voice.

'TOP OF THE HILL' by South Summit

A single released 28 August 2025.

Another great song from this Australian band originally from Perth, Western Australia.

Like this one.

'Surrounded by the Light' by Rosellas

From their EP "Every Beautiful Night" released 1 August 2025.

This one was not missed due to the August 'Canicola', as it came up using a Perplexity AI search for new releases in August.

Cool song from this Manchester group.

And it's been a while since I have heard such a tight bass guitar and drummer - they really fly together.

'Metal' by The Beths

From their album "Straight Line Was A Lie" released 29 August 2025.

New Zealand group from Auckland

If you find this one a little too 'soft', then listen to "Best Laid Plans".

Interesting band, and one to watch.
