Old Sessions New Releases

Since early 2016 I have systematically sought out new releases from within Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’; something I called the Spotify music ‘dump’.

I was greatly assisted by a now defunct website run by a Spotify engineer that listed all the new releases by genre, and most importantly, by country of origin. It was called everynoise.com - only the the Spotify engineering running the site was fired in December 2023, and this site eased working in February 2024.

I set up a number of simple blogs under the domain name Streamusique.com which posted to a number of different blogging platforms that unfortunately now no longer exist, except the last which is on the old Google Blogger.com site, found here below.

The playlists section links to Spotify lists that more or less corresponds to the ‘lost’ selections from the early blogging platforms.

Frankly, the really crap way Spotify handles playlist management means there is a hole from March 2022 to December, then a huge dump list from that date to June 2024 - but go figure.

Not very useful, and no idea how it came about, but here they are.

By the way, for many complicated reasons, and mainly urged on by Claude Sonnet 5, I had originally decided to use my domain name, kimrampling.com instead of Streamusique.com.

I then discovered Google's Antigravity IDE. Amazing!

Now both domain names point to the same site without dumb redirects - life's always fun with AI.
