They are back.

Pleased to see yet another British Indie Rock band releasing a new song, the first one since their album ‘Buck’ back in September 2025.

Classic Red Rum Club, upgraded for 2026, yet still with that great tumpet from Joe Corby.

First got to know these guys from Liverpool, listening to ‘Kids Addicted’, released as a single in September 2019, which then included in the album “The Hollow of Hundrum”, which came out in October 2020.

That album also includes the very beautiful ‘Favourite Record’.

Looking forward to hearing more from Red Rum.

A new Australian indie-rock project from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia fronted by Piers Buxton.

This song is will part of their album release "Hop On It" on around October 29, 2026 (details from Bandcamp).

Second song this week from Aotearoa (New Zealand), with this one Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland based four-piece project/quartet Echomatica.

A song to lose yourself in on a weekend going into autumn as the days shorten and life draws in.

The YouTube video is very cool too.

Give this one the time it deserves, and after that breakout around 0.40 this it really takes off.

As his Spotify profile says “InDuna is presented as an independent/self-taught Afro-pop artist and producer, with a distinctive South Africa–New Zealand cultural story rather than a generic pop positioning”.

And Africa you hear straight off with those banking vocals, so much so suddenly you're back in Jo'burg.

Cool song, with very much the Queensland Indie Rock sound. Really? Is that a thing? Whatever, that's what I think.

It's a nicely complex composition, with break outs that take by surprise, and then fly up and away.
